Huibo Shao, MS, MA, is a Research Biostatistician in the Division of Biostatistics and Epidemiology. Mr. Shao received his MS degree in Statistics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2003. Before that, he received his BA and MA degrees in Sociology from Beijing University. Before joining the Department in January 2009, he was a Senior Data Analyst in the Department of Mental Health, Bloomberg School of Public Health at the Johns Hopkins University. He co-authored several journal articles published in reputable journals. Mr. Shao has been working extensively with the faculty members in Division of Health Policy. Currently, he is working on SEER-Medicare data and HMO data with Dr. Heather Gold and Medicare Part D data with Dr. Yuhua Bao. He also provides statistical consulting and analyses support to faculty, clinicians and researchers within and outside the Department of Public Health.
